Error Analysis on EFL Students’ Thesis Proposal Writing

The present research was intended to analyse the errors made by university students, especially students in eight semesters who write thesis proposals. Hence, main objective of investigate types as well know dominant which were existed students’ proposal compositions. This employed descriptive quantitative study calculating number percentage. There are 42 participants from English Education Department one public West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. results showed that there 195 consisting 71 (36%) addition errors, 64 (33%) misformation 48 (25%) omission and 12 (6%) misordering errors. most shown percentage tended add more than structure or grammar needs. Students overgeneralized use affix –s verb double auxiliaries (be, are, is). These suggest instructor needs help on understanding practicing fix
